Mantis

Marketing Blurb: The Mantis was originally designed for exploration of hostile environments (EHE) as part of the efforts to colonize the outer solar system. While several test builds were created in February 2096, the design never entered production.

Fragmentary WAR records indicate that a Mantis model retrofitted for combat with monofilament blades may once have been considered as part of WAR's bid to monopolize the HAR arena. Dr. Hothe has expressed desire to work on this "combat Mantis", but as of 2100 no progress has yet been made.
